  63. USING ITEMS
  64. -----------
  65. Your character can carry up to 6 items.  You use an item (attack with
  66. a weapon, wear armor, or use an item) simply by typing its number (if
  67. you're using the NUMLOCK feature, you must hold the Shift-key and
  68. then hit the number).

  70. You drop an item by using the 'D' command; or take an item by trying
  71. to use an 'empty' item, or by using the 'G' command. 
  72.  
  73. The first weapon in the list is your 'readied' weapon; if you try to
  74. use another, you will instead make that other weapon the readied one.
  75.  
  76. Your character can be protected by 1 suit of armor, and by 1 shield.
  77. If you have two suits of armor, the lowest-numbered one is the one
  78. used.
